The management and staff at Cushman Paint and Body share your concern about the effect of chemicals on the environment, and we're doing something about it. We are proud to be among a select group of collision centers who have chosen to go green.  In fact, we are the first auto body repair shop in the CSRA to switch completely to BASF premium waterborne primer and paint.
 

Waterborne technology replaces the petroleum-based solvents inherently found in traditional primer and paint and replaces them with distilled water. By using BASF's R-M Onyx HD, we have reduced basecoat VOCemissions by approximately 90 percent over solvent-borne products. The waterborne primer and basecoat, combined with clearcoat, makes the paint much more durable and resistant to general wear and tear from the elements.

Approximately 70 percent of all new cars, including high-end manufacturers such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz, are finished with waterborne paint, making  BASF R-M Onyx HD the ideal system for repairing your car or truck.  Ultra-luxury cars such as Maybach and Rolls Royce are hand sprayed at the plant with BASF waterborne paints, and R-M Onyx HD is used exclusively at Cushman Paint and Body Shops in Evans, Augusta, Martinez, Thomson and Waynesboro, GA.

The use of BASF waterborne paints by these ultra-luxury car manufacturers is a testament to the quality of BASF's waterborne technology and the confidence that these companies have in BASF products.
